The New 'Black Widow' Trailer Reveals A Dark Past And New Release Date

Marvel Studios’ Black Widow | New Trailer

The beloved Avenger Black Widow will be making waves in her own Marvel film this summer, giving fans a look into the backstory of one of the greatest heroes.

The months of release date delay are to be worth it with the star-studded cast of Marvel's Black Widow (2021) and an insight on the life of the first female Avenger, Black Widow.

What We Know So Far

Played by BAFTA winning actress Scarlett Johansson, Black Widow (aka Natasha Romanoff) was last seen in Avengers: Endgame (2019). Now fans are getting an insight on the backstory of the Avenger before she was one of the world's most beloved heroes.

A Sisterhood Mended or Broken for Good?

Alongside Johansson is Oscar nominated actress Florence Pugh as Nat's younger sister Yelena. Based off the trailer, there has been a chunk of time since the two have seen one another and although it's rocky at first, there may be hope for reconciliation.

Raising the two is Alexei Shostakov played by Stranger Things' (2016-) David Harbour. Alexei may also be known as the Red Guardian who in the Marvel comics is deemed the Soviet equivalent to Captain America.

The interesting family dynamic of Black Widow will be brought to the big screen July 9, in theaters or available for purchase on Disney+.
