"Therefore I Am" Single

The new single is a part of Eilish's second studio album, BE2*, which currently has three tracks ("Therefore I Am," "everything i wanted," and "my future"). Like all of Eilish's songs, "Therefore I Am" is produced by her brother and world-renowned producer, FINNEAS.

"Therefore I Am" is a play on René Descartes famous philosophical line, "I think therefore I am." In her lyrics, Eilish calls out those in her life who use her for clout and make it clear that she's not their friend.

The day before the release, Eilish took to her Instagram to announce the music video release, along with the single. Her caption read,

"THEREFORE I AM SONG AND VIDEO OUT TOMORROW 10 AM PT"

"Therefore I Am" is Billie Eilish's fourth single since the release of her album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?. This single comes out three months after the release of another one of Eilish's songs, "My Future."

"Therefore I Am" Music Video

The self-directed music video for the single features Eilish as she goes around an empty mall stealing snacks from different vendors. There are only two long takes from one cameraman within the entire five minute music video.

Eilish and Quarantine

Over quarantine, Eilish has one the Billboard Music Award for Top Female Artist and Top Billboard 200 Album, along with a Brit Award, Juno Award, iHeartRadio Music Awards, and more.

The way that Eilish has been able to handle music producing alongside quarantining, due to the outbreak of Covid-19 has been nothing short of creative.

In her music video for, "Therefore I Am," Eilish is the only person in an empty mall, besides her cameraman. The music video for "My Future" is also animated, causing no reason for the breaking of social distancing protocols.
