Ocean Eyes singer Billie Eilish has been working with Fender to create her own unique ukulele. If you didn't know, the ukulele is a special instrument to the electro-pop star.
Humble Beginnings With Her Ukulele
Back when Billie Eilish first started with the release of her original song Ocean Eyes on SoundCloud, she spent a lot of time with her ukulele. The ukulele is the main instrument involved in the songwriting process for Eilish. On Fender's website, Eilish's connection to the instrument is described:
"As soon as she burst onto the scene with her 2015 single "Ocean Eyes", it was clear that Billie Eilish is a force to be reckoned with. In the years since, she has established herself as a new kind of pop culture icon, taking the fashion and music industries by storm on her own terms. Billie's meteoric ascent to pop stardom started with the ukulele, the first instrument she learned to play."
The Blohish Logo
Similar to the Gucci print Eilish is often seen wearing combined with her famous Blohish logo, the ukulele has Billie Eilish written all over it. According to the Fender website, the signature ukulele retails for $299 and:
"Designed in collaboration with Billie Eilish, her Signature Ukulele is a stage-ready instrument that embodies Billie's bold, unmistakable style. This concert ukulele is built with sapele top, back, and sides, featuring a matte black finish with Billie's "blohsh™" symbol. It also includes a Fishman Kula preamp for those looking to plug in."
The signature ukulele is available now for all you Billie Eilish fans.
