After years of anticipation, Disneyland's Adventure Park has a new addition. Avengers Campus, the Marvel-themed wing, is opening for business.
Originally scheduled to open in the middle of 2020, the park's premiere was postponed indefinitely after the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Now, almost a year later, the Avengers Campus is debuting as businesses across the country start to reopen. To promote their new expansion, Disney hosted a livestream on Wednesday night, featuring appearances from Anthony Mackie (Captain America), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan), and Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios.

This new park's premise is that Tony Stark created Avengers Campus as a way of training the next generation of heroes, and takes place in an alternate universe where the events of Avengers: Infinity War never happened. The area includes attractions themed around the biggest characters from the MCU, including Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and the Guardians of the Galaxy. There's also an Ant-Man restaurant with some zesty meals, costumed stunt performers who interact with park guests, and even the opportunity to "train" with the Dora Milaje from Black Panther. Funnily enough, the only thing missing is the word "Marvel", which does not actually appear on any of the attractions because of a legal agreement with Universal Studios Theme Parks.

Disney's superhero park has been in the works since 2017, and the amount of time they've invested really shows. There's all kinds of hidden features that fans of the Marvel movies will love, so any visit is guaranteed to be a memorable time. The park officially opens for business on Friday, June 4th.
