Looking Back At A Crazy Year In Entertainment

Looking Back At A Crazy Year In Entertainment

Celebrity Page TV

We stroll down memory lane and look back on a big year.

2020 was a year unlike any other. With plenty of ups and downs, we're taking a moment to recap some of the biggest moments of the year.

Promising Year

The year started off promising with the releases of major films and covering red carpets of Bad Boys: For Life, Dolittle, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Onward. Then, Hollywood and the rest of the world was put on a halt due to COVD-19. This caused studios to wait on the release of big films like Mulan, Black Widow, Candyman, A Quiet Place 2, and No Time to Die. Hollywood was shut down and theater screens went dark as the lock-down settled in and binge watching began for everyone.

Lots to Binge

Audiences turned to shows like Tiger King, Outerbanks, and Love is Blind. Some others turned to drive-ins for new movies, but most audiences turned to streaming new films like Extraction starring Chris Hemsworth and The Old Guardstarring Charlize Theron. Other movies went straight to on demand and others like Tenet held out until theaters opened.

Award shows like the Emmys and the Peoples Choice Awards went virtual and after the murder of George Floyd, Hollywood joined the Black Lives Matter protests with Beyonce reminding us that Black is King.

Big Year For Music

Festivals and live events were cancelled, but that didn't stop artists like The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, BTS, Blackpink, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Megan the Stallion, and Taylor Swift from releasing new music to sooth our ears.

What a crazy year 2020 has been!
