Netflix audiences will be able to celebrate the holidays with the sequel of The Princess Switch 2: Switched Again starring Vanessa Hudgens. We've got the brand new trailer for you to check out.
The Brand New Trailer
In this sequel, Hudgens returns as Stacy De Novo who goes on to marry Prince Edward (Sam Palladio). While her friend Kevin (Nick Sagar) goes onto have a relationship with Lady Margaret (also played by Hudgens) things don't work out due to their long distance relationship. Hoping to rekindle the spark Margaret and Kevin share, Stacey and Margaret switch places again. When Margaret's partygoer cousin Fiona (also played by Hudgens) finds out she wants to join in on the fun and switch. What kind of shenanigans could go wrong? The new film promises what is sure to be the essential rom-com watch for the holiday season.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly Hudgens discussed her excitement after reading the script of playing three characters stating:
After I read it I thought, 'Ooh man, this is going to be a lot of work'.
She also shared:
Three of me? Me, myself, and I! I was very excited to create yet another character and had such a blast doing so. I was told they wrote in a new character but I had no idea how much fun it would actually be.
The sequel features the return of director Mike Rohl who previously directed the first film and Hudgens got to serve as a producer for the latest film written by Robin Bernheim and Megan Metzger. The new film will be available on November 19.
Take a look at what other Vanessa Hudgens Christmas films are also available.
Previous Film
In 2018, Netflix released the first film The Princess Switch, as Stacey attends a Christmas baking competition in Belgravia and meets the princess to be Margaret who the two switched lives for two days. The film gained attention for Hudgens playing two characters and for its joyful, cheesy and fun holiday spirit.
Another Christmas Film
In this 2019 time-travel love story Hudgens served as a producer for her first film The Knight Before Christmas also released on Netflix. In the film a medieval knight named Sir Cole (Josh Whitehouse) is transported by a sorceress to present-day Ohio where he becomes friends with a warm-hearted and smart science teacher Brooke (Hudgens) who doesn't believe in love. Understanding he is looking for help to return home Brooke helps Cole familiarize himself with the modern world and as the couple grow more friendlier so does their feelings for each other.
The film is also potentially set to return with a sequel and there is a third Princess Switch in the works for a 2021 release. For now enjoy a marathon of Vanessa Hudgens Christmas films to get into the holiday spirit over on Netflix.
