In season 1 of Disney+'s "Loki," Tom Hiddleston's character Loki came out as bisexual.
The 41-year-old actor recently opened up to The Guardian about the "important" on-screen moment.
"I hope Loki coming out as bisexual was meaningful to people who spotted it," Hiddleston said. "It was a small step, and there's further to go. But it was definitely important to all of us."
In 2021, director Kate Herron shared how significant the moment was to her.
She wrote on Twitter,
"From the moment I joined Loki, it was very important to me, and my goal, to acknowledge Loki was bisexual. It is a part of who he is and who I am too. I know this is a small step but I'm happy, and heart is so full, to say that this is now Canon in MCU."
Though a release date for season 2 has not yet been announced, screenwriter Michael Waldron got fans excited earlier this month by sharing with Deadline that filming was about to start.
In the meantime, you can catch season 1 "Loki" of Disney+.
