Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is role model to many in the United States. Last night, the star took to his social media platforms to express how he feels regarding the killing of George Floyd and the lack of leadership present during these times.
Where Are You?
In the powerful eight minute video, Johnson continues to ask the question, "Where are you?" likely referring to Donald Trump. Throughout the speech, Johnson pleads with Trump to listen to the American people. He states that America is "on its knees" and that we need a strong leader now more than ever. He continues to say that a good leader would reach out and listen to the American People and lead with compassion. The most powerful line in the speech comes towards the end as Johnson says:
"We must become the leaders we're looking for."

Dwayne Johnson.
Delivers a better speech in 2:20 on his phone than Trump has in 4 years.
Inspires and moves like a leader.
He’d be the perfect man in office.
Why?
Because he truly cares for people.

His choice of words & his delivery were outstanding & came from the heart with a quiet intensity.
He tore Trump a new one without even raising his voice or saying a bad word about the man.
Now that's how it's done. pic.twitter.com/eaIGzI7YAY

Uniting The People
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in 2009
Many people have called out the fact that what Johnson did in one video is more presidential than any speech our current President has given. The Rock's speech has further pushed forward the #BlackLivesMatter movement as the star has one of the largest following of any celebrity. While unlikely, The Rock has teased running for president before. Maybe we will see the most the most electrifying man run for president in 2024.
