GLAAD Awards Voting

GLAAD has also announced their first ever TV Fan Favorite Award. Fans are now able to vote for their favorite tv series this year through the GLAAD website. The award show will also be honoring LGBTQ journalists Karen Ocamb and Mark Segal. This year's show includes a much longer and well deserved list of LGBTQ people of color up for awards. Some of the television series leads that are nominated include Euphoria, Killing Eve, The L Word: Generation Q, Pose, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Dear White People, One Day at a Time, Superstore, Vida, and Tales of the City. GLAAD president and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis spoke about the importance of the show including a diverse range of nominees that all share extremely powerful stories:

"As this year's Media Awards go virtual, we hope to send a powerful message to LGBTQ people that in the midst of this culturally and politically divisive time, our visibility and voices have never been more important."

Although different than years past, this is set to be a show fans will not forget. Be sure to stream the award show on Facebook or Youtube tonight at 5PM PT/8PM ET.
