Last Sunday, Taylor Swift tweeted about the cover of her hit song, "Look What You Made Me Do" from that day's episode of Killing Eve by Jack Leopards and the Dolphin Club. The only problem? The band doesn't exist.
The Tweet
VERY STOKED about this cover of lwymmd on @KillingEve by Jack leopards & the dolphin club!! https://t.co/fhkLfOssfm— Taylor Swift (@Taylor Swift) 1590372662
The dark and twisted cover of the poppy yet vengeful tune led Swifties to do what they do best...investigate.
The Producers
Look What You Made Me Do

Being the only song credited to this unknown band, fans turned to the song's producers. First is Jack Antonoff, who co-wrote the original song with Swift. Also credited is Nils Sjöberg, a pseudonym Swift used on the song "This is What You Came For" with now ex-boyfriend, Calvin Harris. The name also appears in the "Look What You Made Me Do" music video on a gravestone. It seems that the alternate identity has been resurrected to connect back to her now year long battle with Scooter Braun.
The Singer
Taylor Swift and Killing Eve

Now who is the mystery man singing? Many signs point to the singer's brother, Austin Swift, who she previously stated she wanted to sing for the Killing Eve soundtrack. Apparently, Austin used "The Dolphin Club" as a Twitter name at one point and dolphins appear in Swift's AT&T commercial in 2016.
The Reason
Taylor releasing a cover of her own song under a fake band name with her brother singing on it so that no coin goes… https://t.co/KqAbL7Fc1e— Taylor Swift News 🕰️ (@Taylor Swift News 🕰️) 1590376517
Within the past year, Swift has been very vocal about her feud with Scooter Braun regarding her ownership and her profits from her own music, which Braun owns. Now, with a fake band and Swift's name nowhere visible, she can once again reap the benefits of her own music.
She once again outsmarts the music industry and creates a fun scavenger hunt full of Easter eggs for her dedicated fan base.
