The cast of Schitt's Creekjumped back into character to give an extravagant congratulations to the class of 2020 with an extra special guest!
The send-off for the class of 2020 begins with the Rose family grappling with Moira's extensive vocabulary as they muster a heartfelt sentiment for this year's graduates as part of YouTube's virtual commencement featuring Barack and Michelle Obama.
The entire cast jumps into a rendition of Mariah Carey's "Hero" led by resident musician Noah Reid ,who plays Patrick on the show. Reid previously performed "Simply the Best" and "Always Be My Baby" on the show as David's love for Carey had become a running joke and a big part of David and Patrick's relationship. As the cast harmonizes beautifully, Mariah Carey herself appears on screen to belt the final notes as the characters listen in disbelief (especially David).

Carey has proven her fan-status through tweets like this one in 2019, reacting to a particularly sweet moment where Patrick shows his love for David through the legendary musician.
