Stephen Colbert is remembering the year spent in quarantine with a special episode of A Late Show with Stephen Colbertand will air this Friday, March 12 on CBS. The Friday night special will take place on the same day as when the production team had their last episode in the Ed Sullivan Theater that only had Colbert and his crew in the empty theatre.
The first guest on the list for the one year episode will be Dr. Anthony Fauci, White House Chief Medical Advisor and Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, marking his first time appearance on the show.
When the world was scrambling for answers on what to do, Colbert waisted no time as he was the first late night show to make it back on air during quarantine from his very own bathroom. A Late Show has been making remote episodes from his house in South Carolina since March 16, 2020. Now, he is back in the theatre looking back on his 167 remote episodes and 13 of them that were live.
