Saturday Night Live is coming back for season 47, and the Emmy-winning late night show announced hosts and musical guests for the month of October.
October 2nd - Owen Wilson / Kacey Musgraves
Owen Wilson will kick off this new season of SNL as host for the first time on October 2nd. The actor has recently wrapped up the first season of Marvel's Loki streaming on Disney+ and is about to come to the big screen with Wes Anderson's The French Dispatch on October 22nd.
Six-time Grammy Award winner Kacey Musgraves will mark her second time as musical guest. The singer has just released her new album "star-crossed," that debuted at Number #1 on the Album Sales Chart, along with a film now streaming on Paramount+
October 9th - Kim Kardashian / Halsey
On October 9th will feature Kim Kardashian, who will host the show for the first time ever.
Grammy nominated artist Halsey will be the musical guest for that night. The singer has just released her career-defining album "If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power" which debuted at number #1 on Billboard's Top Current Albums chart.
On Instagram, the singer captioned her participation with:
"5th times the... charm? See you sooooon."
October 16th - Rami Malek / Young Thug
Emmy and Academy Award winning actor Rami Malek will make his SNL hosting debut on October 16th. The actor stars in the newest installment of the James Bond's franchise titled No Time To Die, in theaters from October 8th.
Grammy Award winner Young Thug will perform as musical guest for the first time. Last time, he featured Megan Thee Stallion in "Don't Stop" at the end of last year. Thug's new album "PUNK" will be released on October 15th.
October 23rd - Jason Sudeikis / Brandi Carlile
And finally, Jason Sudeikis will make his first appearance as SNL host on October 23rd. Sudeikis won two Emmys this year: Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Comedy Series as co-creator, executive producer and star of Ted Lasso on Apple TV Plus.
Six-time Grammy Award winner Brandi Carlile will make her musical guest debut that same night. The highly anticipated album titled "In These Silent Days" is set to be released on October 1st. On Instagram, the singer expressed her excitement for the news captioning "I've been waiting my whole life to make this announcement!"
Peacock will livestream the first four episodes starting from the premiere date, October 2nd. You can also watch any previous season on the platform.
