Joe Goldberg just can't stay away. Your favorite stalker is coming back to Netflix for season four. Here's what to expect.

Penn Badgley is returning to Netflix as the disarmingly charming and subdued killer, Joe Goldberg.

Season three of "You" last saw Joe in Paris as he searched for Marianne (Tati Gabrielle) who he is convinced is his soulmate. After stabbing his wife, Love (Victoria Pedretti), with poison and then proceeding to burn her body along with their house to the ground, Joe is embarking on another callous endeavor, this time, abroad.

Showrunner Sera Gamble explained her vision for Joe at the end of season three saying,

"I would love to do a season where Joe stepped outside the United States and was an American fish out of water."

It appears that Gamble got her wish as season four will be taking place in Paris. Co-creator Greg Berlanti has been credited as the mind behind the idea to set the new season there.

In the season three finale, Joe daydreamed about running into Marianne as he sipped on his espresso at a Parisian cafe.

"Marriage almost ruined both of us, but we escaped." he reflected. "Maybe the scars on our hearts make them stronger."

While we will have to wait to see if Joe is able to find his newest infatuation, he left viewers with a menacing message that gives a clue of what to expect for the new season:

"All I know, mon amour, is I'll search the world if I have to. I will find you."

The writers of "You" teased fans about the start of production of season four in November, by sharing a picture to Instagram of a doormat that said "hello YOU" with the caption,

"Welcome to the season 4 writers’ room, now officially open for business ✍️"

In addition to leaving behind his wife, season three also concludes with Joe leaving his son Henry with Dante, his blind coworker at the library.

Fans were left wondering if Joe would really abandon his son forever despite his merciless ways.

Sera Gamble reassured fans there would be answers to this question in the upcoming season.

"That's going to be an ongoing conversation, because no, you can't pretend something that huge about a character didn't happen," she said in an interview with E! News. "I think it will shape him from this moment forward. And even his exact plan of when and if he would return for his son is something that we will...if we get to the writers room...come together and talk about for hours and hours and hours between snacks."

And of course with all of Joe's old Madre Linda adversaries out of the picture, season four will introduce a new antagonist.

"Euphoria" and "White Lotus" actor Lukas Gage will play the role of Adam,

"an ex-pat American, the youngest son of a wealthy East-Coast magnate."

Adam's character bio describes him as,

"famous for spectacularly failing to meet the standards of his successful, venerable family. An entrepreneur and a gambler, Adam is a warm and funny party host and fast friend. But underneath, Adam is hiding a trove of secrets and papering over problems with heavy self-medication."

Will Joe finally meet his match in Paris?

And since all bets are off for season four, it looks like there could even be a special appearance by rapper Cardi B.

In November, the singer received a letter from Joe Goldberg along with a hat.

"Hello, You…My stalking and killing may make me a certified freak, seven days a week, but it also brought me to…you," it began, borrowing a lyric from Cardi B's song "WAP." "Cardi B, you have a way with social media. You're meaningful. Substantive. I just like you. You're authentic and nuanced…just as you are with your music. You keep me on my toes, the ones that are left, at least. You can't be caged in, and it's refreshing."

The letter comes a few weeks after Cardi B tweeted at Netflix and pitched an idea for the new season of the show.

"So it’s episode 1 and I’m at Paris Fashion week shutting it down! I turn around and there stands YOU Ok finish it off @netflix," she tweeted.

Sounds like Cardi B could be onto something.

Looks like we're just going to have to wait for the new season, which can't come soon enough, to find out.
