Despite exiting the Royal Family earlier this year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now looking to make their mark on Hollywood.
The royal couple's arrival to Southern California comes with a Netflix mega-deal, where the two are signed on for various projects with the streaming channel. The documentary Rising Phoenix is the first project from Prince Harry, where he joins a discussion about the Paralympic movement and the impact sports has on those with disabilities. When introducing himself, the Prince shares:
"I love sports, and this is one of the most amazing projects that I've been apart of."
It's no secret that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are fierce advocates for the causes they believe in, and their Netflix deal allows them to showcase those causes in a unique way.
For more on the couple's Hollywood takeover, we turn to gossip columnist and podcaster Rob Shuter for how Brits feel about their move to the US. According to Shuter, the news came with mixed feelings:
"Its a mixed reaction in Britain. A lot of people are very excited that harry and Meghan are now financially independent. A lot of people are also surprised by just how much money they are being paid! It is rumored that they got $150 million, which actually gives them more cash than William and Kate. It's a lot of money! So some people over in Britain are really thrilled for them, and the haters, they're gonna hate!"
As for William and Kate, Shuter also tells us that the two have no interest in Hollywood, and they are focused on the UK and the Royal Family.
