Despite recent health problems, Queen Elizabeth's carrying on. She received General Sir Nick Carter on Wednesday, November 17th.
Queen Elizabeth has always shown incredible perseverance, and resilience, when it comes to her responsibilities.
Last month, the Monarch was hospitalized after canceling a visit to Northern Ireland. But even that health scare didn't stop her from working virtually through various calls.
And now, after missing Remembrance Day, she received General Sir Nick Carter for an Audience at Windsor Castle. The Queen wore a floral dress and greeted General Carter upon his resignation as Chief of the Defense Staff. She declared herself quite sad for his relinquishment, but Carter's ready to leave his position by the end of the month, after eight long years.
This is the first time that we see the Queen in an in-person occasion since October 19th. Unfortunately, because of a sprained back, she had to miss Remembrance Day at the Cenotaph. A statement from the Palace had revealed the following:
"Her Majesty is disappointed that she will miss the service."
Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla, Prince William and Duchess Kate attended the service and the Prince of Wales laid down a wreath on behalf of the Queen, which symbolizes the loss suffered during the First World War.
Although the Queen may have had health scares recently, Prince Charles spoke publicly about it, assuring that "she's all right."
