Music producer Pharrell Williams is no stranger to the top charts and we're confident he will deliver on Rihanna's next album. It has been quite some time since Rihanna dropped her last album, Anti, in 2016. She has revealed several times, all the way back since 2018, that a new album is in the works. While the Needed Me singer has been vague in her clues, perhaps musical mind Pharrell's words give us some more direction. Our Stephen Walker has the latest...
"Rih is in a different place"
The Neptunes, production duo consisting of Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, have been working in the studio with Rihanna. For their December/January issue, Allureinterviewed Pharrell Williams and the topic of Rihanna's album came into conversation. He explains:
"Rih is in a different place right now, like, wow. She's from a different world."
From the looks of this interview, fans could expect a type of album different from her recent works, like Anti or 2012'sUnapologetic.
Pharrell goes on to joke that this 'other world' might be Venus, if he had to guess:
"I'm willing to bet, because Venus is gaseous, that if they had a telescope that could zoom through all that s---, you'd see Rih laying there naked."

More recently, Rihanna spoke with Entertainment Tonight and let fans know that whenever she does decide to release her album, fans will not be disappointed (but we knew that already):
"I am always working on music. I am always working on music and when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it's gonna come out. You're not going to be disappointed when it happens. It's going to be worth it."
Okay Rih, we await the release of R9 with bated breath!
