The Netflix adventure-action drama Outer Banks starring Chase Strokes and Madelyn Cline premiered April 15th, 2020, and has now been officially renewed for a second season which will premiere on July 30th, 2021.
Outer Banks takes place in North Carolina in modern day, and tackles themes of socio-economic divides, with a rivalry between working class and wealthy residents separated as the "Pogues" and "Kooks." The show's first season contained ten episodes, and the plot revolves around a group of teenage friends who live in a popular vacation resort off the coast of North Carolina, who attempt to solve the mystery behind the disappearance of the main character's father. They eventually discover a secret treasure worth millions, and many twists, betrayals, and intense scenarios ensue.

As for what to expect with Season 2, the actors and creators are all excited with high expectations for their fans. Not only did co-creator Josh Pate indicate that some episodes will take place in the Bahamas, there will be even more coming of age romances, suspense, and action. Madison Bailey, Jonathan Davis, and Rudy Pankow will also all be returning in their respective roles.
