Britney Spears has overcome so many obstacles over the course of her career, has blessed our hearts with non-stop dance party songs and has become one of the queens of pop. In honor of her birthday we're taking a look back at some of our favorite music videos.
...Baby One More Time
Spears' first music video turned her into the star she is today. The video is shot in a Catholic high school where the bored Spears sits in class, but once the bell rings she breaks out into song and dance through the hallways, the courtyard, and the school gym. However, the video turns out to be a daydream. Also, let's not forget Spears' infamous, cute pink braids.
Me Against The Music
A collaboration at its best is Madonna and Spears teaming up for "Me Against the Music". In the video, Spears is wearing a black outfit while Madonna is wearing a white outfit as they have a fierce but remarkable dance-off.
Circus
Spears shines as the ringmaster in the music video "Circus". Directed by Francis Lawrence who previously worked on the "I'm a Slave 4 U" music video shows a different side of Spears running a freak show with a whip, fire, acrobats, doves, elephants, and lions. At the beginning of the video, Spears sprays on one of her signature perfumes called Circus.
(You Drive Me) Crazy
This music video has killer choreography and knows how to drive the boys crazy. A soundtrack from the film Drive Me Crazy starring Adrian Grenier and Melissa Joan Hart shows Grenier and Hart serving ice cream as Spears plays a dorky waitress who suddenly cuts it loose as a superstar performer.
Toxic
Another legendary music video is "Toxic", directed by Joseph Kahn- who previously worked with her on other videos, shows Spears in different personas with unbelievable costumes like a bedazzled nude body suit and colorful wigs. In 2004, Spears won her only Grammy for Best Dance Recording for the song.
Oops!...I Did It Again
This out of this world video shows Spears in a skintight red leather bodysuit along with high ponytails travelling to Mars. Spears is well-known for her sensational choreography. We also can't forget the Titanic reference... and who else remembers Jack (Sean Hayes) teaching Grace (Debra Messing) the iconic moves on Will & Grace.
