ABC Confirmed there will be a host for the 94th annual Academy Awards. Although, the actual host has not been identified yet.

After four years of the Oscars going host-less, that streak will end in March!

Craig Erwich, president of Hulu Originals & ABC Entertainment, announced the news saying,

“You heard it here first” (referring to a new host).

It'a still up in the air on who will host the Academy Awards.

“It might be me,” Erwich jokes.

But Erwich did reveal that he has complete faith in Oscars executive producer Will Packer, sharing:

“Will really has his pulse on popular culture and entertainment. I know he has a lot in store and we’ll have more details to share soon.”

Spiderman star Tom Holland said he is open to hosting the Oscars. He told The Hollywood Reporter last month,

“Of course I would host the f—ing Oscars!’ I just went to the bathroom and I was looking at myself in the mirror and I was like, ‘What kind of f—ing idiot wouldn’t host the Oscars?’ So yeah, if they ask me to, I would, and it would be very fun. I would really enjoy it.”

The last person to host was Jimmy Kimmel in 2018.

In 2019, Kevin Hart was supposed to host, but the comedian backed out following controversial tweets that emerged. Even though ratings improved in 2019, they had a sharp drop in 2020. It was even worse in 2021 due to delays caused by the pandemic.

The Oscars will air on ABC on March 27th. Nominations will be revealed on February 8th.
