Apple has gained the rights to a new two part documentary feature Number One on the Call Sheet, a film recognizing black excellence on screen.
Divided Into Two Parts
The feature will be divided into two parts: Number One on the Call Sheet: Black Leading Women in Hollywood and Number One on the Call Sheet: Black Leading Men in Hollywood. As one may be able to tell in the title, the first film will focus on the black female pioneers of film, while the latter will focus on the men.
The first feature will be directed by producer of Free Angela and All Political Pioneers (2012) Shola Lynch. The second of the two will be directed by director of House Party (1990) and producer of Django Unchained (2012) Reginald Hudlin.
Produced by Today's Film and T.V. Stars
Oscar winning actress Halle Berry and Golden Globe winning actress Angela Bassett will produce the female driven feature, while comedian Kevin Hart, Oscar winning actor Jamie Foxx, producer Datari Turner, and Oscar winning producer Dan Cogan will produce the second feature.
Apple has not announced any production or release dates as of now.
