No Time to Die

Only giving Venom: Let There Be Carnage a week at the top of box office sales, the new James Bond Movie No Time to Die ranked number one after its first weekend in theaters.

No Time to Die is the official 25th chapter of the James Bond franchise, and it definitely did not leave fans disappointed. After 18 months of standstill production due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, No Time to Die is predicted to take its crown as one of the largest debuts this year.

The film capped out its opening weekend accumulating approximately $56 million in box office sales. Despite taking the lead in this year's box office sales, No Time to Die still fell short of its pre-weekend forecast of $60-$70 million, based off of the sales the previous 007 film acquired.

No Time to Die received an 84% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a 7.6 out of 10 from IMDB, and an A- grade from CinemaScore. It's safe to say that the film didn't miss its mark and audiences were content with Bond's return to the screen.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage got bumped down to number two in the box office this weekend, earning $32 million in North American sales. Though Venom landed as second runner-up this weekend, it's unfair to overlook how successful the Sony smash hit was during its opening weekend.

After its premiere during the weekend of October 1, Venom amassed a box office sale of $90.1 million, breaking records and emerging as another leader in this year's total sales.

Venom scored a 59% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a 6.5 out of 10 from IMBD, and a B+ grade from CinemaScore.

Coming in at number three for box office sales, The Addam's Family 2 totaled $10 million for its second weekend in theaters, amounting to $100.7 million in overall domestic sales. The family-friendly animated film was released just in time for the Halloween season, and features the amusing voices of actors Charlize Theron, Oscar Isaac, and Chloe Grace Moretz.

The Addam's Family 2 received a 24% approval rating from Rotten Tomatoes, a 5.3 out of 10 from IMDB, and a B grade from CinemaScore.

Coming in fourth place is Disney's latest release Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which added an additional $4.2 million to its $212.5 million total domestic sales. This past weekend was Shang Chi's sixth weekend in theaters, so its fourth ranking is still an impressive finish.

Wrapping up in fifth place for this weekend's box office sales, The Many Saints of Newark, a Warner Bros,' Sopranos prequel took the title. For its second weekend in theaters, The Many Saints of Newark took in $1.5 million in sales, adding to its $10.3 million in total international sales.

The Many Saints of Newark earned a 72% approval from Rotten Tomatoes, a 6.4 out of ten from IMDB, and a C+ grade from CinemaScore.
