New Music Out This Friday: J. Cole, Bebe Rexha, And More

It is a BIG day for hip hop, and maybe an even bigger day for pop. We've got some great stuff out this week, so let's see what music came out today!

i n t e r l u d e - J Cole

Shortly after announcing his new album, The Off-Season, was slated for a May 14th release, J. Cole dropped a new single, interlude, that talks about police brutality and the death of unarmed black men. It's heavy lyrics that bop, what else could you ask for?

Better Mistakes - Bebe Rexha

Bebe Rexha is back in business with a brand new album, headlined with features from Travis Barker, Ty Dolla $ign, Pink Sweat$, Lil Uzi Vert, Doja Cat. Just that features list promises a diverse sound that'll own the charts all summer long!

Lay Wit Ya - Isaiah Rashad

Nearly five years since the TDE prodigy blew critics and fans alike away with his debut album The Sun's Tirade, Isaiah Rashad is back.

After gracing the cover story of Fader magazine yesterday, he's got a new single out today, with an album release slated for June by Top Dawg, a label that also sports SZA, Schoolboy Q, and, of course, Kendrick Lamar. Grappling with fame and fortune have not been easy for Rashad, and it seems he's finally gotten himself on the right path.

Isaiah spoke of hesitancy to come back, thinking his fans wouldn't enjoy his music like they used to, but when you have 200,000 views on a music video posted this morning, it's safe to say we're all happy to see him back in action, happy and healthy.

What You Need - Don Tolliver

Don Tolliver has made a name for himself with his crazy vocals and close relationship with Travis Scott as a member of the Jackboys alongside Sheck Wes and Luxury Tax. The man who owned TikTok for over a year is back again with this new single that'll make you sway rather than dance.

Run - OneRepublic

One of the best pop-rock bands of the last decade, OneRepublic has been quiet in recent years, not having a smash hit since 2014's Counting Stars dominated the charts. Hopefully that inaction has been put to rest now that they're back, and with a new modern sound to boot.

Higher Power- Coldplay

Speaking of rock bands that want to make waves again, Coldplay is returning with their first single since their 2019 album Everyday Life. This isn't their usual sound, it's far more upbeat and dance-ready than their past hits, and it's good to see such a successful band is still willing to experiment.

Tiempo - Ozuna

People like Daddy Yankee have made reggaeton a mainstream sound in recent years, and Ozuna is right alongside him making it happen. Tiempo could make your grandma move like she's twenty again.

All I Know So Far - P!nk

When you think P!nk, you think upbeat, inspiring rock anthems that make you feel inspired and encouraged. She's playing with a new sound now with All I Know So Far, a confessional acoustic ballad.

Fast (Motion) - Saweetie

TikTok darling and chart dominating California native Saweetie can pretty much make a hit whenever she pleases, and Fast is no different. The music video includes incredible visuals that support black owned brands.
