The top movie and shows of the year were celebrated at last night's MTV Movie & TV Awards in Santa Monica!

The award show was broken up into two parts, both airing back to back. The first half of the show, hosted by Vanessa Hudgens, focused on fans' favorite movies and TV shows. "The Bachelor" star Tayshia Adams, hosted the UNSCRIPTED half of the show, where reality tv stars got their time to shine.

Going into the ceremony, the movie with the highest nominations of the night was "Spider-Man: No Way Home" with seven, and following right behind wasHBO hit series "Euphoria" with six. "The Batman" starring Robert Pattinson was the third most nominated project with four.

Jennifer Lopez got emotional while accepting MTV's Generation Award, which honors "beloved actors whose diverse contributions to both film and television have turned them into household names." During her speech she thanked her haters and gave a special shout out to Ben Affleck. The pair got engaged in April after rekindling their romance.

"I want to thank the people who gave me joy and the ones who broke my heart — the ones who were true and the ones who lied to me," Lopez said.
