Concerts will look a little different this summer due to the coronavirus pandemic. Given local and state guidelines for businesses, Live Nation is creating a drive-in concert series for fans to get their live music fix.
The company announced that the "Live from the Drive-In" series will take place July 10th-12th with a total of nine shows in Nashville, Tennessee, Maryland Heights, Missouri, and Noblesville, Indiana. Brad Paisley is set to headline shows in all three cities with other performers including Darius Rucker, Jon Pardi, Nelly and more.
Even with being a socially distant event, strict procedures will be put enforced during the concerts. To maintain health and safety standards, all staff will be required to wear masks and guests will be encouraged to wear one when leaving their car. Each car will be allowed a maximum of four people and will be able to chose their own parking space.
Brad Paisley shared his thoughts on the upcoming concert series in an interview with the Associated Press:
"I'm very excited to do this because I wanted to make sure, if we were going to do anything like this, that they had the important stuff worked out. My goal would be not to spread this virus to one person. There should be no spead from this. That's key. I just don't think it's worth doing shows if we're putting people at risk."
Tickets go on sale this Friday. For more information and updates on the concert series, click here.
