Jasmine Roth isn't just tearing down houses... she's tearing down stereotypes!
With Help! I Wrecked My House freshly premiering its second season, Roth is completely redefining the standards for how women are respected in the world of home renovation.
"The cool thing about this season is 16 and a half million people watched season one, and so when we said... 'Hey we're going to make another season,' everybody was on it," Roth said.
This season is also promising more innovative ideas and bigger projects.
In Help! I Wrecked My House, Roth tackles projects that homeowners failed to complete themselves, proving that it can take the experience, knowledge, and expertise of a woman to get the job done right.
Roth discussed the hurdles she had to overcome to establish herself in the industry.
"It's been challenging, I will say that. There are still folks that are like... 'Wait what do you do? You build houses? Oh, you and your husband build houses.' I'm like no, I build houses and my husband has a completely different job."
On top of renovating houses and starring in her own HGTV show, Roth also has a newborn daughter, Hazel. The new mom is hoping to teach her daughter the importance of empowerment and hard work.
"Having her be able to see her mom work and to see her mom juggle it all and try to do it all and be there for her.... but also be there to help these other families, I think that's so important."
Help! I Wrecked My House airs Monday nights on HGTV and is also streaming on Discovery+.
