The official Paramount Plus account addressed "iCarly nation" directly to share the good news. The official Nickelodeon account joined in on the fun and replied back with a lyric from the show's theme song.

3 months later, the series had its trailer and release date.

One thing that the reboot made very clear was that, while it stays true to its roots, this is a whole new show. The trailer finds the gang drinking adult beverages, dating, and navigating adult life. Members of the cast even promised that the humor in the reboot would be geared more towards adults since their fanbase is all grown up now. In an interview with J-14, Miranda Cosgrove confirmed:

"The new show is mainly being made with all the original fans in mind."

Her co-star, Nathan Kress, doubled down in an interview with Page Six where he said:

"This is an adult show and it's not specifically for kids. And that's been exciting for us - to just see where these characters from a kid's show would be and where they are in their life now, 10 years later. But in a very realistic, non-glossy way."

In the same interview, Jerry Trainor, who plays Carly's brother, shared:

"We're going to toe that line, you know what I mean? It's not going to be super-raw but there's going to be sexual situations."

In a promotional video posted to Twitter by Paramount Plus, Trainor reiterates that this reboot is "grown-up".

Obviously, the cast wants to make it clear that this show is going to be different than what fans are used to.
