Hallmark Channel is already giving some comforting films for the season.

Christmas Sail takes a unique turn for Hallmark this year, as it's the first film to take place on a sailboat.

Katee Sackhoff shared more on the movie's premise and theme.

"Not only it is this beautiful story of this father and daughter connecting again and realizing what was important the entire time about their relationship... she also rediscovers the love that was right in front of her the entire time," Sackhoff said.

Besides acting, Sackhoff is also executive producer and works alongside Emmy winner Terry O'Quinn.

"Terry O'Quinn is so beautiful in this movie. I think it's a side of Terry that people may not have seen."

Christmas Sail premieres Sunday, October 31st, on Hallmark Channel.
