"I'm thinking of a character where this woman is transgender. She's a woman that transitioned into a man."
Berry also spoke about why she considered taking on the role in the upcoming film, saying:
"I want to experience that world. This world, who this woman was, is so interesting to me. And that will probably be my next acting role."
The Negative Responses...
This is all bullshit, but the language here demonstrates @halleberry doesn’t even know what a trans man IS. This is why cis people can’t take trans roles - too many confuse our actual identities with their Oscar bait. I look forward to her apology and dropping of this part. https://t.co/macrUffM24— Trans Mandalorian (@prestonmaxallen) July 6, 2020
"Still trying to understand why Halle Berry would be interested in playing the role of a transgender man. Sigh!"

And The Positive Responses
Thank you for listening and learning and providing opportunities for trans folks to have this role. 🙏🏾— April (@ReignOfApril) July 7, 2020
