Via THR, "Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future," a Lucasfilm spokesperson said in a statement. "Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable."

Carano has also been fired by UTA, according to an agency spokesperson.

Not the First Time

This is not the first time Carano's statements have landed her in hot water. Back in November, she shared a post mocking those who wear a mask during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the tweet above, we can see Carano falsely implying voter fraud in the 2020 election.

These actions, especially the most recent of them, spawned the hashtag #FireGinaCarano across Twitter, calling for the actor's release of

The Mandalorian has been a large part of the initial success of the Disney+ platform, debuting alongside the streaming service back in 2019. Carano was reportedly a large part of plans for expansion of both the Star Wars and Marvel universes on the platform, but after her controversial tweets in November, these plans have been scrapped.

Regardless, it's good to see hatred has no place in LucasFilms.
