President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will be inaugurated in just five days, and they are determined to make it a celebration. Today, the Presidential Inaugural Committee announced additional performers for the primetime special "Celebrating America."
Foo Fighters, John Legend, and Bruce Springsteen have been added to the list of performances that will take place on Jan. 20th. They're joining an already star-studded list that includes Lady Gaga, J-Lo, Demi Lovato, Jon Bon Jovi, Justin Timberlake, and more.
Springsteen has previously vowed support for Biden during election season, and has publicly spoken out against Donald Trump, specifically in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The singer has used his platform to promote mask-wearing and recently joined Jon Bon Jovi and Jon Stewart for a New Jersey COVID prevention ad.
Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington will also introduce segments throughout the night, "ranging from stories of young people making a difference in their communities to musical performances," said a release from the Presidential Inaugural Committee.
Washington has been a strong advocate for Biden this past year, as well as a spokesperson for the Black Lives Matter movement.
"Celebrating America" will air next Wednesday, Jan. 20th at 8:30 ET/PT. It will air live on ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, and MSNBC, and will be live-streamed by PIC social media channels: YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Twitch.
