Foo Fighters have officially canceled the remainder of their tour, following the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins on Friday night.

The band was on tour in South America when drummer Taylor Hawkins unexpectedly died in a hotel near Bogotá, Colombia. Dave Grohl and the band pulled out of the festival and traveled back to the United States on Sunday.

The band shared via social media that they would be cancelling the rest of their tour on Tuesday March 29.

"It is with great sadness that Foo Fighters confirm the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in light of the staggering loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins," the band said. "We're sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won't be seeing one another as planned. Instead, let's take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we've made together."

Foo Fighters, who were supposed to be on tour for the rest of the year, were also set to perform at this weekend's Grammy Awards. Although there has been no official comment on the matter, it seems unlikely the performance will still occur.

While an official cause of death has not yet been revealed, Colombian officials said in a statement on Sunday that there were several drugs in Hawkin's system at the time of his death.
