Demi Lovato's New Docuseries 'Dancing With the Devil' Trailer Released

Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil | Official Trailer

Demi Lovato has had a known history struggling with sobriety and mental health, however fans may not know how fatal these battles really were. Demi Lovato and her loved ones go into depth on the struggles of the past couple of years in her new docuseries 'Dancing with the Devil' on YouTube.

Demi Lovato bares her soul in her second YouTube Originals documentary Dancing with the Devil highlighting her overdose, mental health, and near-death experience.

A YouTube Originals Docuseries

Dancing with the Devil is a four-part documentary following the life of Grammy nominated singer Demi Lovato over her past years of dealing with mental health, a failed engagement, and a deadly overdose that caught the world by storm.

'Simply Complicated'

This isn't the "Sorry Not Sorry" singer's debut into the documentary world. Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated (2017) also deals with Lovato's issues with drugs and relationships, however from a more professional perspective.

A More Personal Take

The new doc ramps up Lovato's story by 100 as we hear personal confessionals from the artist's parents and friends who were affected by Lovato's struggles. A friend of Lovato quotes,

"She should be dead."

Dancing with the Devil even features the confessionals of world-renowned artists such as Elton John and Christina Aguilera. Elton John explains his understanding of Lovato's journey,

"When you're young and you're famous, my God it's tough."

Fatal Overdose

In her tell-all film, Lovato discusses the mindset she once had leading to her overdose,

"I don't even know why I'm sober anymore."

In July of 2018, Lovato broke the news as she overdosed in her Hollywood Hills home. Details of the emergency have been as private as possible, however Lovato spills it all telling audiences she experienced three strokes and a heart attack.

"My doctors said that I had five to 10 more minutes."

Starting Over

Demi Lovato's journey has been far from easy, apparent in the new film. However, Lovato describes how she has now dedicated her life to doing what makes her the happiest, making music.

"I'm rebirthing. I'm starting over."

To experience the singer's struggle through the eyes of Demi Lovato and her loved ones, make sure to watch the premiere of the YouTube Originals docuseries Dancing with the Devil premiering March 23.
