The Chucky Season 2 Trailer Has Teens, Tiffany & Lots of Terror!

"Hi, I'm Chucky, wanna prey?"

It’s time to play!

Charles Lee Ray is back possessing our favorite killer doll in the new trailer for Chucky season 2!

In the first season, we saw the legendary horror icon finding himself in a new town, where he latched onto a young gay boy named Jake who was bullied both at school and at home. When Chucky tried to frame him as a murderer, Jake teamed up with his friends to defeat the evil doll...at least temporarily.

Now in the second season, Jake (Zackary Arthur) is struggling to deal with everything that happened last year. In the trailer, his boyfriend Devon (Björgvin Arnarson) calls him, asking, “Jake, where the hell are you? You’re the only one I can talk to about what really happened,” but he isn’t answering. Lexy is struggling too, and eventually, the three get sent to a Catholic school in the hopes that it can set them on the right paths.

Meanwhile, Tiffany is off doing her own thing with Nica (Fiona Dourif), the woman Chucky was possessing in season one, and who Tiffany cut the arms and legs off of last year in an attempt to prevent her from escaping. While Tiffany thinks the two are happily in love, Nica is plotting revenge.

The trailer also shows plenty of a new, third character on the show played by Devon Sawa. This time around, he’s playing a priest who works at the Catholic school and doesn’t believe that Chucky is anything more than a regular doll.

Glen and Glenda, as played by nonbinary actor Lachlan Watson, show up – just from behind – with their excited mother Tiffany greeting them. In Seed of Chucky, Chucky and Tiffany’s genderqueer child was split into two human bodies, and both will be played by Watson.

The big question at the start of the preview is “where’s Chucky,” and don’t worry, he’s here too. He’s got new, bigger plans, and is out for revenge against everyone who’s gotten in his way.

At the end of the trailer, Chucky bursts out of a box opened by a nun and gives a twist on his iconic catchphrase, and a nun joke, “Hi, I’m Chucky, wanna prey?” He also cheekily adds in, “just looking at me is scary enough to give you a heart attack? Oh my god! Thank you!”

The first season was one of TV’s most pleasant surprises last year, not just delivering great horror and classic Chucky camp, but introducing one of our favorite queer romances on TV. Don Mancini really is making one of the most fun and exciting shows on TV, and we can’t wait to watch the new season when it debuts on SYFY and USA on October 5.
