Broadway Extends Shutdown To May 30, 2021

The Broadway 'Intermission' has been extended to the end of May 2021

The Broadway shutdown has just been extended until the end of May 2021.

New Shows Set For The Stage Next Spring

Fans can resume their playbill collections next May, after Broadway will have been shut down for over a year. The shutdown will continue due to the fact that social distancing will be difficult to pull off in the usually packed theaters and will cause financial insufficiencies when not at full capacities.

When Broadway theaters get the 'OK' to turn the lights back on, fans can add the new show MJ , about the life of Michael Jackson, to their playbill collection along with The Music Man.

The Shows We'll Miss

A total of 24 shows were running when the shutdown first began mid-March of 2020 when COVID-19 cases began showing up in New York. Shows like Frozen, Hangman, and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? have announced that they will not be resuming production.

It is only an intermission, so we await the day that we can get back to Broadway theaters once again!
