"Stars in the House" Election Day Vote-A-Thon

Stars in the House

Hosted by Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley, "Stars in the House" is hosting a 10 hour Vote-A-Thon on November 3rd, encouraging fans to cast their vote, while listening to performances from famous singers.

This A List set of performers is hoping to motivate the public to share their voting experience and wait in line for their voices to be heard.


In addition to Stars In The House Sirius XM Stars 109 and #SingingOnQueue are partnering on the Vote-A-Thon. Sirius XM Stars 109 will broadcast the highlights of the episode at 4 PM ET the day of and #SingingOnQueue will entertain voters while they're in line. #SingingOnQueue is a movement to entertain voters to stay in line and cast their ballot by having performers across the country visit their local voting polls and perform a live set.

Poll workers will also be dropping by the episode, while they're on breaks from their shifts working the polls.

Hosts

In addition to the "Stars in the House" hosts, Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley, Brenda Braxton will be hosting the Vote-A-Thin from 2-3 PM ET.

Brenda Braxton is an anchor for KGW News in Portland, Oregon and will be joining the even remotely.

Performers

The lineup for this Vote-A-Thon is insane! Stage and screen favorites have joined the event including Martin Short (Saturday Night Live), Ben Stiller (Zoolander, Night at the Museum), and Josh Groban. The guest list also includes Broadway stars Jessie Mueller (Waitress, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, Waitress), and Vanessa Williams (Into the Woods, After Midnight).

Previous guests of "Stars In The House" will also be joining us on election day including, Lisa Kudrow (Friends), Kristin Chenoweth (Funny Girl, Wicked), Tina Fey (Saturday Night Live, Mean Girls), and many more. The full list can be seen on starsinthehouse.com

Fans Can Get Involved

"Stars in the House" aims to get fans involved as much as possible. Fans will be able to be live guests on the show as they are in the line to vote or after they have cast their vote.

Fans can also send in "I Voted" selfies to Vote@StarsInTheHouse.com for a chance to be featured in the show.

"We want to provide a place where people can watch something that's election-related but purely entertaining instead of stressful! We thought it would be fun to hear from celebrities and viewers alike about their voting experiences throughout the years as well as what's happening in real time at the polling sites around the country. And, of course, we will have live music too!"

"Stars in the House" has been working in support of The Actors Fund since the beginning of the pandemic that came with the shutdowns of many productions and the entirety of Broadway shows.

This is a daily series featuring stars perform live, while at home, in order to promote charities for those most vulnerable to Covid-19.
