Britney Spears is finally free, and she's crediting the #FreeBritney movement for "saving" her life.
On November 16th, the pop icon took to Instagram to share updates, four days after her conservatorship came to an end.
Spears shared the simple, yet empowering ways her life has changed in recent days.
She revealed:
"I'm just grateful honestly for each day and being able to have the keys to my car, being able to be independent... owning an ATM card... being able to buy candles, it's the little things..."
The singer continued on to share that she hopes her story will make an impact and create change within such a "corrupt system."
She said:
"I'm here to be an advocate for people with real disabilities... I can only imagine what the system has done to those people."
And finally, Spears thanked her countless fans for "saving her life."
She said:
"The #FreeBritney movement-- You guys rock! My voice was muted and threatened for so long. i wasn't able to speak up or say anything. Because of you guys... you gave it awareness to all of them [the public.]... I honestly think you guys saved my life..."
