Comedian and Full House star Bob Saget was found dead last month in his hotel in Orlando, Florida.

Since the tragic news was announced, many have speculated what caused his early demise. Some online claimed it was Covid-19, with others theorizing drugs and/or alcohol were involved. Saget's family released a statement today where they revealed that the actor died not from any of the above, but instead from head trauma. The statement read,

"The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved. [We have been] overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love from Bob's fans, which has been a great comfort to us and for which we are eternally grateful. As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter. Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities' investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us."

Saget was on tour for his comedy at the time, and was expected to check out of his hotel, until his family contacted the establishment after being unable to get in touch with him. His wife, Kelly Rizzo, said that he was in perfect health up until his death, and that his December infection with Covid-19 was "nothing serious".

Rizzo honored Saget hours before the news broke with a tribute on Instagram where she shared her memories with him. It read,

"Experiencing simple pleasures in life brought him so much joy. I can’t even put into words how much I will miss this."
