What fans love so much about Black Mirror is how the episodes leave you feeling like the absurdity of its events couldn't be real but once they're given thought, seem too realistic. Charlie Brooker, creator of the show has officially teased a new project that confirms these feelings, as it's titled Death to 2020.
The Teaser

This Thursday, Black Mirror's Charlie Brooker posted a ten-second teaser of the mockumentary. While the release date is unknown, we do know that this year couldn't be made up but the Black Mirror creators have some things to add.
It is also unknown if we can expect a Netflix special by itself or an added episode to the Black Mirror anthology series. It could just be a special, as earlier this year, Netflix has set up a deal to invest in the production company led by Brooker. Death to 2020 could be the result.
The 2020 Historian
Fans first got news of the project when Hugh Grant told New York Magazine that he was involved in the new Netflix project. He revealed that one of his recent works included a mockumentary written by Charlie Brooker about 2020. He even spilled about what type of character he would be playing:
"a historian who's being interviewed about the year. I'm pretty repellent, actually! And you'll like my wig."
The rest of the cast is still unknown. Stay tuned for more updates.
