The wait is over Bachelor fans... The Bachelorette is finally here!
Last night, season 16 Bachelorette Clare Crawley kicked off her journey to finding love, and as promised, she brought the drama!
The premiere started with an introduction of Clare's love interests, including a quick montage of the guys quarantining and gearing up to meet the woman of the hour. Each contestant was forced to quarantine for two weeks prior to meeting Clare, ensuring the safety of the cast and crew during the era of Covid-19.
This year's limo arrivals were as "creative" as ever. Jason showed up with a pregnant belly, referencing Clare's limo entrance on Juan Pablo's season; Demar came in with a parachute, saying he "fell for Clare;" and Ed rolled up in a bubble, making light of the unfortunate circumstances that the pandemic has brought on.
However, no one entered quite like 32-year-old Dale Moss. The dashing guy showed up bright-eyed and smiley and seemingly won over Clare in a matter of seconds. But while she might have de-clared (That's all ABC, can't take credit for that one.) Dale as her "husband," the former pro football player was actually not the first contestant she kissed that night.
That "prize" went to Blake Moynes, who was allegedly the only man to reach out to her during quarantine. Though he technically broke the rules, Clare said she was grateful for it because it helped her during such a tough time.
But don't worry Dale stans, Dale did receive the second kiss of the night, right after Clare gave him the first impression rose. Clare shared that she's big on "energy," and on Jimmy Kimmel Live, she said that prior to filming, she did some research and concluded that she and Dale "aligned" in various ways.
Other contenders that made a splash? Tyler C. and Yosef. Tyler C. said that he didn't believe Yosef was there for the right reasons, especially after he was "reckless on Instagram and flirting with girls" that Tyler C. allegedly knows.
But ultimately, even "looking out for Clare" couldn't save Tyler C. from getting the boot. Clare eliminated the 27-year-old lawyer, along with AJ, Jeremy, Chris, Jordan M., Page, Mike and Robby.
Rumors have circulated that Clare's journey will be cut short, as a result of deciding to leave the show early with Dale. She allegedly will be replaced by Tayshia Adams. ABC has not confirmed the news, but multiple reports say it is definitely happening- sooner rather than later. We could even see Tayshia on our screens in just a few weeks!
