Ariana Grande Takes Presidential Role In New Music Video 'Positions'

The queen is back and here to save the year.

When Ariana Grande suddenly tweeted a week and a half ago that she will be releasing her new album at the end of the month, everyone freaked out. Then, life got even better yesterday when she teased and released not just a song, but a song AND a music video.

Ariana Grande - positions (official video)

It's only been 9 hours since its premiere, and the music video already has 7.3 million views - it's pretty safe to say Ariana Grande has a loyal fan base. In the music video, Grande is seen taking on the White House as president and doing many of the position's tasks, like holding press conferences and working in the Oval Office.

The music video was directed by Dave Meyers, who has directed several of Ariana Grande's songs. Also in his portfolio of videos is 'Adore You' by Harry Styles, 'Bad Guy' by Billie Eilish, and 'Sicko Mode' by Travis Scott Ft. Drake.

Of Ariana Grande's music videos, he has directed 'God is a Woman' and 'No Tears Left To Cry.'

Like always, Ariana Grande had a successful year. She started out 2020 by performing '7 rings' and 'thank u, next' at the Grammy Awards. She was also nominated for 5 awards at the Grammy's - Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Then, she had two singles released in May: one with Lady Gaga in 'Rain On Me' and the other with Justin Bieber in 'Stuck With U.'

We all know it's only going to get better from here, and we can't wait to hear what's on her album on October 30th.
