Argentine Soccer Legend Diego Maradona Dies At Age 60

Diego Maradona suffered a heart attack on Wednesday morning two weeks after being released from the hospital following a brain bleed. The soccer star born in Buenos Aires is known for winning the World Cup back in 1986, knocking England out of the tournament while scoring the iconic 'Hand of God' goal.


Maradona is considered one of the greatest soccer players of all time. His incredible legacy will be cherished by soccer fans from around the world who supported the Argentine soccer star in his journey.

Argentina's president Alberto Fernández took to Twitter to announce three days of mourning.

"You took us to the top of the world. You made us immensely happy. You were the greatest of all. Thanks for having existed, Diego. We will miss you for a lifetime.'"

Messi and Maradona are considered the greats of soccer. Maradona coached the star and Argentina during their time competing in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The star's heartfelt message sent support to his teammate's family and friends.
