A Closer Look At NBC's "Chicago" Primetime Slate

One Chicago: NBC's Primetime 'Chicago' Stars Spill On New Season Storylines & BTS Protocols | CPTV

The trilogy returns to NBC.

Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. are all coming back to NBC with new episodes tonight. With the pandemic abruptly ending all three of the shows' seasons, the cast is extremely grateful to be back on set.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, many TV series have revolved their new seasons around the virus and the new world we live in. While Chicago Med will be following this same concept, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Fire's seasons will not. Brian Tee, who plays Dr. Ethan Choi on Chicago Med said:

"Especially this season more than any other season, there's this deep sense of responsibility in telling these stories and trying to tell them effectively and correctly from everything that's happening from the social unrest all the way down to COVID."

However, that doesn't mean their real life production isn't taking new coronavirus protocols. The casts have their script readings on zoom and stay socially distanced from each other on set. Chicago Fire's Kara Killmer said:

"They're choosing to prioritize the safety of their cast and crew over, like, 'let's get it in can,' you know, they're like, 'no, we're gonna get it but we're gonna do it safe."

Look for new episodes of all three shows on Wednesday's on NBC starting tonight.
