Television is bound to gain a big amount of viewers this week with the CW premiering four shows, along with the return of NBC's 'Chicago' trilogy.

The CW is bringing Riverdale, Nancy Drew, Legacies, and Walker back to television this week, while the Chicago trilogy is returning to NBC marking this week as television gold.



'Riverdale' Season 5 Premiere

Riverdale is returning to the CW tonight, January 20th, for its fifth season. The gang will be kicking off the season by tackling with big high school events, such as prom and graduation, as well as the relationship cliffhangers of season four. Knowing this bunch, these event will be anything but normal.

Episode four of the season will implement a seven year time jump that is sure to have fans on the edge of their seats.

'Nancy Drew' Season 2 Premiere

The CW didn't stop there. Nancy Drew is also returning to air tonight for its second season with the characters solving a series of chilling events.

'Legacies' Season 3 Premiere

January 21st marks a day of returns, as well as debuts for the CW network.

Legacies will be returning to the CW on Thursday January 21st for its third season.

Debut of 'Walker'

Supernatural's (2005-2020) Jared Padalecki will star as Cordell Walker in the CW's re-imagination of Chuck Norris' Walker, Texas Ranger (1993-2001). The series Walker debuts Thursday January 21st on the CW.

'Chicago P.D.' Returns With Modern Themes

NBC's Chicago series returns to air after a production hiatus due to Covid-19.

Chicago P.D. is hitting the floor running premiering its eighth season highlighting the racial injustices of today.

Chicago P.D.'s Jason Beghe speaks of the issues explored stating,

"Police reform, that is the hot topic. This is a moment when the police are forced to look at themselves. It's fertile ground for drama."

'Chicago Fire' Returns After Multiple Covid Positives

Chicago Fire halted production after multiple positive Covid tests on set.

Alberto Rosende plays firefighter Blake Gallo on the show and spoke of the aftermath of the positives stating,

"So we all quarantined, we did what we had to do, and then two weeks later we picked up as if nothing had happened and that was a testament to the work that everyone had put in behind the scenes."

'Chicago Med' Dealing With Covid

Marlyne Barret, Maggie Lockwood on Chicago Med, sat down with us and discussed the medical drama's relationship to the current events of Covid-19.

"We're still all going through this understanding of what does it mean to live a normal life post Covid and with Covid as an illness that he medical industry is dealing with."

The trilogy returns Wednesday nights on NBC.

Riverdale and Nancy Drew return to the CW tonight, with Legacies and Walker premiering tomorrow night, only on The CW.
