It is no secret Zendaya is one of Hollywood's darlings. She has roots in Disney, is the youngest female actress to receive an Emmy, is a Euphoria superstar, a movie star and co-producer of Malcolm and Marie, a budding fashion icon, and above all, an activist and role model for young women everywhere. We begin to ask ourselves - what is it exactly that she can't do?

With this, it comes as no surprise that Zendaya is deservedly earning the SeeHer award at the Critics Choice Awards this March.

The SeeHer award is presented to women who embody the values laid out by the SeeHer movement, lead by top marketers, media organizations, and industry influencers pushing for a fair portrayal of women in the media. SeeHer recipients stomp out stereotypes, gender inequality, and advocate for the authentic portrayal of women in entertainment. "If you can see her, you can be her." The former recipients of the distinguished award are Kristen Bell, Viola Davis, Claire Foy, and Gal Gadot.

Zendaya's journey has had humble beginnings. The daughter of two school teachers, Zendaya spent her younger years performing at the local theater where her mother worked. From there, Zendaya launched into stardom, becoming Rocky on Disney Channel's Shake It Up. Others might identify her as Rue on HBO's Euphoria, for which she won the 2020 Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, or as MJ in Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming followed by its sequel Spider-Man: Far From Home that premiered July 2019. Other projects of Zendaya's include playing trapeze artist Anne Wheeler in the cult classic, The Greatest Showman in which she played trapeze artist Anne Wheeler.

Just when you thought she has done it all, Zendaya is also currently a beauty ambassador for Lancôme, as well as for Bulgari and Valentino.
