You know what they say, if you go through it go around it and that is exactly what New Orleans did.
The traditional Mardi Gras parade was cancelled this year due to pandemic, which has now led them to an internet sensation and new tradition: Yardi Gras.
It's a parade like never before. The reinvented Mardi Gras parade is made so that the spectators are the ones taking the walk and letting the "floats" be remade on the front of peoples houses.
Louisiana natives have taken to twitter to show off their masterpieces and we are loving the detail of the decor!

It all started as an internet joke, that quickly turned into a reality. People joined in from all over, soon making It an all-out decorative event.
Megan Boudreaux was the first to tweet she would be making her house into a Mardi Gras float, and now over 3,000 people have joined in on the porch parade.
Boudreaux has turned the traditional parade into the Krewe Of House Floats making it a real event with a map to find all of the decorated houses around the area.

Every house has been decorated from top to bottom with more detail and creativity than you could have even imagined. Some house owners even hired professional float making artists to decorate their house and join in on the holiday spirit.
One house was decorated in tribute to the first responders of this pandemic. The house is filled with life size cut out of healthcare workers with masks showing the flour-de-lis symbol that associates with New Orleans.
These people don't mess around when it comes to art. Take a look for yourself below!
