HBO Max just released a trailer for the upcoming film Unpregnant starring Barbie Ferreira and Hayley Lu Richardson.
Upregnant follows high school student Veronica (Richardson) who finds out she is pregnant and must travel to New Mexico to the nearest abortion clinic that doesn't require parental approval. She reached out to her ex-best friend Bailey (Ferreria) for the epic road trip filed with laughs, tears, fights, and bumps in the road.
The coming of age teenage film provokes deeper conversations about abortion rights and accessibility in America under a layer of friendships and pop music.
Both Ferreira and Richardson are not strangers to the teenage genre coming off Euphoria and Five Feet Apart respectively. Unpregnant comes from the producers of Riverdale and You and is based on the 2019 novel of the same name, written by Jenni Hendriks and Ted Caplan.
