We are now on the precipice of the 93rd annual Oscars, and among the nominees is The Trial of The Chicago 7.
The film is nominated for six Oscars, including Best Picture. The film is based on a group of anti-war demonstrators from the late sixties who were arrested during the 1968 democratic convention.
The writer and director of the film, Aaron Sorkin, sat down to discuss his creative process. "I had been asked if I changed the screenplay or the film at all to mirror events in this country," to which he said, "No. Events in this country changed to mirror the script."
Cast members of the film include Sacha Baron Cohen of Borat (who is nommed for Best Supporting Actor in The Trial of The Chicago 7) and Eddie Redmayne, who is well known for playing Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything.
