Pretty Little Liars star Troian Bellisario and husband Suits star Patrick J. Adams welcomed their second daughter Ellie in May, in a rather movie-like scripted birth in a car outside of the hospital.

The couple talked about their wild delivery story on Katie Lowe's podcast Katie's Crib, via Entertainment Tonight, saying the couple thought they had plenty of time before their daughter's arrival when Bellisario's contractions first started. During her first pregnancy back in 2018, Bellisario had been in labor for a grueling 26 hours.

Naturally, she assumed her second birth would be the same and they were not in "panic mode" to rush to the hospital when her contractions first began. But as soon as Bellisario sat in the car she immediately began to experience unbearable pain.

"I'm starting to have to push my seatbelt away from me... I'm in a lot of pain, but I'm also like, 'I can't be in this position anymore,'" revealed Bellisario, Her husband then went on to say that they were in the hospital parking lot when she gave birth. "As soon as I hit the button and get the ticket, she's screaming. I whip around, and by the time I turn my head around, Troian is fully on her hands and knees and we've gone nuclear."

Adams' bolted for the security guard, exclaiming, " I get up to the guy and I say, 'It's all happening, in the car. You need to get the wheelchair down here, you need to get the people, all the people! all the professionals! It's happening!"

Adams' then opened the car door. "As soon as I open it, Troian is doing one of her incredible howls," Adams said. Bellisario asked Adams for his help getting her pants off. "So she is still on all fours, butt facing the windshield. Her butt's at my head level, so I just go and pull down her pants and [the baby's] head is right there." Adams shared.

Adams ended up delivering the baby himself, which in no means the actor was prepared to do, saying "There was no room for panic. You just need to deal with this situation." Adams revealed that all of this happened in a "span of about three minutes." During the delivery, Adams remembered the importance of none of the fluids covering the baby getting into their mouth or nose, or block any breathing passages so he turned the baby upside down. Immediately as he turned the newborn upside-down, the little girl began to scream and cry, which meant she was healthy.

"I just look over my shoulder, because I'm still on all fours... and I see Patrick holding her upside down, and she's wailing, so I was like, 'She's alive, she's OK. She's breathing," Bellisario said.

The proud father took to Instagram to broadcast the unconventional birth of his second child captioning the post, "+1…..Welcome to the funhouse, Ms. Elliot Rowena Adams. May your life be as unique and exciting as your arrival."
