If you haven't seen the viral photos of Tom Daley on the sidelines knitting a dog sweater during the women's three-meter springboard finale at the Tokyo Olympics, his latest knitting accomplishment will definitely surprise you.

The 27-year-old, who just took the gold medal home for the men's synchronized 10m platform competition with his partner Matt Lee, has proven he's got some serious knitting skills after debuting a handmade cardigan honoring his win at the recent Olympic Games.

In a video posted to the British Olympic diver's official knitting and crocheting Instagram account, he showcased his elaborate stitching making sure his fans missed no details on the "jumper," explaining each embroidery.

"OLYMPIC CARDIGAN REVEAL! 🇯🇵🇬🇧🔥🧶," Daley wrote. When I got to Tokyo, I wanted to make something that would remind me of these games. Something that I could say I had made in Tokyo, during the Olympics! I did a @teamgb logo on the back, with a flag and GBR on the shoulders and Tokyo embroidered onto the front!"

A week prior to Daley's first ever-gold-medal win, who previously won bronze medals at both the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, showed fans the "cozy" pouch that featured both British and Japanese flags he created for holding the sacred medal.

"This morning I made a little cozy for my medal to stop it from getting scratched," Daley revealed. "So here it is."

The father of one revealed that he took up knitting and crocheting to get himself through the COVID lockdown in March of last year. "The one thing that has kept me sane throughout this whole process is my love for knitting and crochet and all things stitching," he told the followers of his knitting page. In a separate Instagram post the athlete credited the hobby for reducing his Olympics anxieties saying it helps "finding calm, mindfulness and [it] relieves stress."
